Position Description

Our HCMC office has a position available for an Analyst Programmer with great communication skills (English speaking, reading and writing) and experienced in software development including support/customer service experience.

Responsibilities

To help deliver Advance Vision Technology’s strategy the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Reporting to the Services Manager in Vietnam;
• Creating and designing frontend and backend applications;
• Supporting exiting database systems;
• Preparing and maintaining application documentations;
• Modifying and troubleshooting applications;
• Travelling to and from customer sites when required;
• Communicating with Sales Executives (client account managers in Vietnam and Australia) as appropriate;
• Communicating with third parties when required;
• Escalating issues;
• Appropriate handling of internal policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure continuous improvement of services onshore and offshore.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Personality Attributes

• Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years practical work experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent communication skills (English and preferably Vietnamese);
  • Excellent presentation skills;
  • Excellent written and documentation skills;
  • Efficient time management skills;
  • Excellent work planning skills
  • Knowledge of web application and object oriented development;
  • Knowledge of data modelling, process flow modelling and sequence diagramming;
  • A commitment to delivering quality software development in line with AVTech’s software development standards;
  • An understanding of the Agile and SCRUM processes and methodologies.
• Ideal Technical Experience Areas Are
  • .Net 1.1, 2.0, 3.5, 4.0;
  • ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, PHP, SQL;
  • Dot Net Nuke Templating and Development;
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2007-2010;
  • Workflow Foundation Classes;
  • HTML/CSS;
  • JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, JSON;
  • MySQL;
  • MS-SQL 2000 – 2008;
  • Optional - Flash animation would be an advantage;
  • Optional - Experience in Photoshop CS2-CS5 would be an advantage.
• Qualifications
  • Candidates with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;
  • Other known industry qualifications and certifications would be an advantage;
  • Microsoft Certification in the key software development technologies.
