Job Information: Software Support Engineer
As a Software Support Engineer you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to providing programming support to engineering services with a variety of engineering project tracking and reporting processes.
Job Description:
- Supporting Engineering Services with project tracking and reporting tasks:
- Creating and maintaining automated tools to track the progress and report the status of projects
- Creating and/or modifying existing VBA Excel macros for collecting and processing project data
- Development and maintenance of a SharePoint engineering helpdesk ticketing system
- Work with other engineers to map business processes to tracking and reporting software tools
- Planning and tracking progress of programming developments
- Documentation of programming projects
- User training
- Supporting other programming tasks requiring PHP and/or SQL
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of programming, database. Programming knowledge in at least one of the following languages (Visual Basic, PHP and/or SQL) is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint platform.
- Experience in PHP and ERP/ PLM system programming can be a plus.
- Basic knowledge to create web pages.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- English reading and writing skills
